An irrigation main valve isolates the source or supply header for service and emergency shutoff. An irrigation shut off valve must match the main pipe, operating pressure and flow. This diagram node currently has no dedicated main-isolation valve product listed.

When selecting a future valve, check full-port capacity, pipe or flange connection, flow direction if relevant and access for operation. Do not assume a small lateral valve is suitable for a mainline simply because an adapter exists.
