How it fits your setup

As water swirls through the separator, heavier particles move toward the collection chamber. This reduces the sand load reaching a later screen or disc filter, especially when a water source produces grit during pumping.

Choosing and using it

A hydrocyclone separates heavier particles; it does not replace fine filtration for drip emitters. Check the selected 2-, 3- or 4-inch connection, operating flow and pressure, and give the sand chamber a safe discharge route. Inspect and empty the chamber on a schedule suited to the source water.
